Barbagianni Brut Sparkling Wine
San Mattia Barbagianni is a sparkling wine with constant and elegant perlage. It can easily be matched with cheeses, fish or vegetable-based pasta dishes.
Its marked acidity is well balanced by certain mellowness which makes it perfect for drinking from the aperitif to the end of the meal.

Grapes and harvest
Espaliered Garganega and Chardonnay grapes pruned according to the Guyot system. On a limestone and shallow soil, we grow 5,700 plants per hectare. Yield amounts to approximately 90 quintals per hectare and harvest is entirely by hand.
Vinification and refinement
Vinification of both grapes is made in steel and separately. Garganega, which is greener and sourer than Chardonnay, makes this wine remarkable as sparkling.
Pairing
Perfect to be drunk as an aperitif with fresh, perhaps spreadable cheeses. Immediate pairing with vegetarian dishes such as quiche, risotto and vegetable-based pasta dishes. Also recommended with white meats and fish.
